With Check-In you scan a member's digital member card (QR code) to record access and attendance. For members you can also create a sales order on the spot where the member discount is applied automatically. Besides members, the scanner also recognises guests with a ticket (event order) or a registration.
Where to find it
Sidebar → Member management → Check-In.
Statistics
Three cards at the top show check-ins for today, this week and the number of unique members.
Choosing the context
First pick the context you're scanning for via the segmented control: Public event, Calendar event, Event registration or Manual. For a public or calendar event you then pick the specific event from the list. Members require an event choice; for guests the system derives the link itself from the ticket or registration.
Step by step: checking in a member
- Click Start camera and point it at the member's QR code. If scanning fails, paste the QR token into the Or paste QR token field and click Verify.
- After verification the member card appears with photo, name, member number, status and validity date, plus the last check-ins.
- Click Confirm check-in to record attendance.
- If the member was already checked in, you see a yellow warning with the time of the earlier check-in.
Creating an order with member discount
When a public event with products is selected, a verified member shows the Create order with discount button:
- Pick products and quantities; you immediately see the original amount, the discount and the member price.
- Choose a payment method: Cash, Card (PIN), Stripe Terminal or Free.
- Click Create order — you get an order number as confirmation.
Tips
- Grant your browser camera access so the scanner works; otherwise use the paste field as a fallback.
- Check the validity date on the member card if you're unsure about a lapsed membership.
Frequently asked questions
What if the QR is expired or revoked? Verification then shows an error; ask the member to refresh the card in the app.
Can I check in guests who aren't members? Yes, a ticket order or registration is recognised and you can confirm them; the member discount only applies to actual members.
Does a double scan count twice? No, an already-checked-in member gets a notice instead of a second record.
Troubleshooting
- I don't see Check-In in the sidebar. Check-In only appears if at least one of the modules member registration, public events or payments is on. If it's still missing, you may lack the check-in right — ask your lead administrator.
- The camera won't start. Allow camera access in your browser, or use the field to paste the QR token.
- "Confirm check-in" does nothing. For members you must select an event first.
