From a student detail you can record dossier notes about an individual student: a behavioural note, a record of a parent meeting, a point of attention or a nice achievement. This way you build up a dossier around a student together with your colleagues.
Where to find it
Open a student's detail: tap the Students shortcut (or tab) on your Home screen, pick a student, and within the detail open the dossier section.
Adding a dossier note
- In the student detail, tap Add dossier note.
- Choose the note type, for example: official warning, incident report, guidance plan, communication log, follow-up, parent meeting, behavioural note, achievement or other.
- Give a title and the content of the note.
- Optionally set a priority.
- If you wish, turn on that the parent gets a notification or must acknowledge the note.
- Save the note.
Replying to existing notes
Open an existing note to read it and add a reply. That keeps the full course of a situation in view.
Tips
- Be factual and concrete — a dossier note may be shared with colleagues, the parent and the admin.
- Use the right type: it makes searching and filtering easier later.
- Only turn on "notify parent" if you want the parent informed straight away.
Frequently asked questions
Does the parent see every note? Not automatically. The parent is only notified if you enable that on the note.
Can I delete a note? Adding and replying to notes is done in the app; to correct or delete existing notes, consult your administrator.
Troubleshooting
- I can't save a note. Type, title and content are required — fill in all three.
- I don't see the dossier on a student. The dossier part is off for your organization, or you don't have access to that dossier.
- I can't find the student. Check that you selected the right class you are linked to.
