The Home tab is your starting point as a teacher. At the top you see your class overview with key figures, below it today's lessons, and a row of shortcuts that take you in one tap to attendance, homework or the student list. What you see depends on which classes are linked to you and which parts your organization has enabled.
Where to find it
Open the app and tap the Home tab at the bottom. This is where you land by default after signing in as a teacher.
What's on the home screen
- Class overview — a card with your selected class, the number of students and two key figures: attendance rate and homework completion.
- Pick a class — if you teach several classes, choose the one you want to view at the top.
- Today's lessons — your schedule for the day, so you know what's coming.
- Shortcuts — tiles to Attendance, Assign homework, Students, Log hours and News (depending on what's enabled).
- Weekly summary (AI) — if the AI assistant is on, you see a short automatic summary of your class here. See the AI assistant article.
How to use it
- Choose the class you want to view at the top.
- Read the key figures to quickly see how your class is doing.
- Tap a shortcut to go straight to that part — for example Attendance to fill in today's presence.
- Pull the screen down to refresh the figures.
Tips
- The figures are about the selected class. Switch classes to see the figures for another group.
- When you tap a shortcut, the right tab opens with your class already selected — that saves a search.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I see only one class? You only see the classes you are linked to as a teacher. If you teach several groups and one is missing, ask your administrator to link you to that class.
Can I customise the home screen? The layout is fixed, but the content adapts automatically to your classes and the enabled parts.
Troubleshooting
- I see no classes. You're probably not linked to a class yet. Ask your administrator to assign you.
- A figure is wrong or shows 0. Pull the screen down to refresh. If still nothing appears, no attendance or homework has been entered for that class yet.
- I'm missing a shortcut. That part is off for your organization, or it isn't assigned to you.
