Keeping attendance

In the Attendance tab you mark, per lesson and per day, who is present, absent or late, and save it all at once.

Updated: June 25, 2026

In the Attendance tab you keep track of your students' presence. You pick a class and a day, set the right status per student, and save everything at once. On holidays or when a colleague is away, you see that flagged at the top.

Where to find it

Tap the Attendance tab at the bottom. If you came via the shortcut on the Home screen, your class is already selected.

Step by step

  1. Choose the class you're recording presence for at the top.
  2. Use the arrows to move to the right day (it defaults to today).
  3. Set each student's status: present, absent or late.
  4. Tap Save to store the whole class's presence in one go.

Holidays and absent colleagues

If the chosen day falls in a holiday period or a closure, the screen shows that at the top and you don't need to fill anything in. If a fellow teacher is away, you also see a note about that — handy when you take over a lesson.

Tips

  • Fill in presence during or right after the lesson for accuracy.
  • Don't forget to tap Save — only then are your changes stored.
  • Browsed to the wrong day by accident? Go back to today or scroll back before you save.

Frequently asked questions

Are parents notified? An absence can send a notice to the parent, depending on how your organization has set it up.

Can I correct an earlier day's presence? Yes, scroll back to that day, adjust the status and save again.

Troubleshooting

  • I see no students. Check that you picked the right class and that students are linked to it.
  • Saving fails. Check your internet connection and try again; pull the screen down to refresh.
  • I don't see this tab. The attendance part is off for your organization, or it isn't assigned to you.
