Requesting your own leave

Request your own absence or leave, pick a period and reason, and track the status: pending, approved or rejected.

Updated: June 25, 2026

Besides keeping students' attendance, in the app you can also request your own leave or absence — for example sickness, holiday or a personal reason. You see an overview of your requests with their status.

Where to find it

Open the More menu (the last tab at the bottom) and choose Leave / My absence. Here is the list of your past and ongoing requests.

Submitting a new request

  1. Tap New request (or the plus button).
  2. Choose the type of leave (for example sickness, holiday or personal).
  3. Set the start and end date.
  4. Optionally add a note.
  5. Submit the request — it goes to your admin for approval.

Tracking the status

Each request shows a status label:

  • Pending — awaiting review by your admin.
  • Approved — your leave is agreed.
  • Rejected — not approved; check any note.
  • Cancelled — the request was withdrawn.

Tap a request for the details, such as the exact period and the number of days.

Tips

  • Request leave as early as possible so your admin can arrange cover in time.
  • A short note helps with the review.
  • An approved absence may be visible to colleagues who take over your lesson.

Frequently asked questions

Who approves my leave? Your admin (the organization) reviews the request. You only see the outcome.

Can I withdraw a request? A request not yet reviewed can usually be cancelled; if in doubt, contact your admin.

Troubleshooting

  • My request isn't submitted. Check that type, start and end date are filled in and that the end date is after the start date.
  • I don't see Leave in the More menu. This part is off for your organization, or it isn't assigned to you.
