Assigning and checking homework

In the Homework tab you create tasks with a due date and attachments, and track per student who has done it.

Updated: June 25, 2026

In the Homework tab you set up tasks for your class and track who has completed them. When creating, you choose between two kinds: a detailed assignment (with a due date and per-student tracking) or a summary — a short lesson recap or weekly report for the whole class.

Where to find it

Tap the Homework tab at the bottom, or use the Assign homework shortcut on your Home screen.

Two kinds: detailed or summary

At the top of the new-task form you pick the kind:

  • Detailed — the full assignment: title, description, due date (with automatic holiday correction), optional memorization items and attachments. You track per student whether it is completed.
  • Summary — a simple message to the whole class: a short text about what was done in the lesson, plus photos. No due date and no completion tracking — purely informational, ideal as a short weekly report or lesson recap.

A summary has an optional title, a lesson date, a description and photos or attachments (you can pick multiple photos at once). At least one of title, text or attachment is required. Just like regular homework, students and parents get a notification (in the app, via push and by email) and see the photos as neat previews in their own app.

Creating new homework

  1. Tap New homework (or the plus button).
  2. Give a title and a description of the task.
  3. Choose the due date (defaults to a week ahead).
  4. Optionally add an attachment: take a photo, pick an image from your gallery or add a document.
  5. Save the task — your students and their parents then see it in the app.

Tracking who has done it

  1. Open a homework task to see the student list.
  2. Set each student's status to completed or not completed.
  3. For a class-wide task you can mark in one go whether the whole class has done it.
  4. Use the filters at the top to show, for example, only outstanding or only completed homework.

Editing and deleting

Open a task to change the title, description, date or attachments, or to delete it. Deleting asks for confirmation first.

Tips

  • Give a clear title and a realistic due date — students and parents see both.
  • A photo of the worksheet as an attachment makes the task immediately clear to everyone.
  • Update the status after the lesson so the homework rate on your Home screen is correct.

Frequently asked questions

Do parents see the homework too? Yes. Students and their parents see the assigned homework in their own app.

Can I assign homework to a single student? You assign homework per class and then track the status per student.

Troubleshooting

  • My attachment won't upload. Check your internet connection and the file size; try a smaller photo or a different file.
  • I can't create homework. Check that you picked the right class you are linked to.
  • I don't see this tab. The homework part is off for your organization, or it isn't assigned to you.
