The app shows a calendar with your child's lesson days, school holidays and closures, and the organization's events — think of a parents' evening, open day or celebration. For an event you can often indicate whether you'll come.
Where to find it
Open the app → Absences tab at the bottom. That's where the calendar lives; marked days show lessons, holidays (often with a palm-tree icon) and events. Many invitations also appear on the News tab.
Step by step: viewing an event and confirming attendance
- Open the Absences tab and browse to the right month.
- Tap a day or an event marker to open the details.
- Read the date, time, location and description.
- Use the attendance buttons to indicate whether you're attending, not attending or maybe.
- Your choice is saved straight away; you can change it later at any time.
Holidays and closures
Holidays and closure days are marked separately on the calendar. There's usually no lesson on those days, so you don't need to report an absence then.
Tips
- Turn notifications on to get a reminder before an event.
- For some events you can add them to your phone's calendar so you don't forget.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay to sign up for an event? Usually not — you only confirm attendance. If an event does require a contribution or ticket, the payment runs through the Payments tab.
Can I still change my choice? Yes. Open the event again and pick a different attendance option.
Do all events apply to me? Some events are only for your child's group; you'll see those on the right day.
Troubleshooting
- I see no events. Maybe none are planned yet, or they're for another group. Pull the list down to refresh.
- I can't confirm attendance. Not every event asks for a response; then you won't see attendance buttons.
- An event from the news isn't in the calendar. Not every announcement is tied to a date; in that case view the message on the News tab.
