On the Absences tab you report your child absent for one or more lesson days — for example for illness, an appointment or another reason. The organization sees your report straight away, so the teacher knows your child won't be there.
Where to find it
Open the app → Absences tab at the bottom. That's where your child's calendar lives.
Step by step: reporting an absence
- Open the Absences tab.
- If you have several children, pick the right child at the top.
- In the calendar, tap the lesson day on which your child will be absent.
- Pick a reason from the list (for example sick, appointment or another reason).
- If you choose Other reason, briefly fill in the explanation.
- Confirm; the day is marked as reported absent.
Tips
- Report in time — ideally before the lesson starts — so the teacher knows.
- On holidays and closures there's no lesson; you don't need to report anything for those.
- If your child has several lessons in a day, check that you're reporting for the right group/lesson.
Frequently asked questions
Can I undo a report? Tap the day again and adjust the status; if the organization asks for approval or to make a change through them, contact them.
Do I report separately for several days? Yes, report each lesson day on which your child is absent.
Does the teacher get an alert? The organization sees your report; depending on the settings the teacher also gets a notification of it.
Troubleshooting
- I can't tap a day. It may be a holiday or closure day, or there's no lesson for your child that day.
- My report isn't saved. Check your internet connection and try again; pull the calendar down to refresh.
- I don't see the Absences tab. Then your organization doesn't use this feature, or your child isn't linked yet.
