With Advertising you sell advertising and sponsorship space (widget screens, app, website, newsletter). Businesses sign up on your public advertiser page and submit an advertisement. They only pay after your approval.
Where to find it
Sidebar → Finance → Advertising. Tabs: Verzoeken (requests), Advertenties (advertisements), Adverteerders (advertisers), Formaten & prijzen (formats and pricing) and Instellingen (settings). The tab names are shown in Dutch in every language.
Who can do this
Permission Manage advertising (manage_advertising). The module is not in any package: Aqlemy switches it on. Advertisers pay through your organization's Stripe account, so Stripe must be connected (Finance → Finance → Setup).
Setting up
- Connect Stripe if you have not done so yet.
- Formaten & prijzen — choose which placements you sell and the price per month.
- Instellingen — renewals, auto-approving an unchanged renewal and the VAT rate.
- Share your advertiser page with businesses.
Step by step: review a request
- Open Verzoeken. You see the creative, placement, period, amount and what you keep net.
- Approve, request a change or reject. The advertiser gets an email.
- After approval the advertiser pays; the advertisement moves to Advertenties and gets a cash book line automatically.
I can't see it / it doesn't work
- Advertising is not in the sidebar. The module is not switched on (ask Aqlemy) or you lack the permission.
- I blocked an advertiser but the ad is still running. Blocking only stops logging in and new requests. Take an already paid ad offline separately on the Advertenties tab.
Frequently asked questions
Does an advertiser pay before I approve? No. Approve first, then pay; if you reject, nothing has been paid.
How does Aqlemy charge its brokerage fee? As a percentage of the net amount, as a line on your monthly Aqlemy invoice. Nothing is withheld from the payment.
Is there a refund when I block? No; that is in the advertising terms.
Is advertising income subject to VAT? In principle yes, even with ANBI status. Ask your accountant; Aqlemy gives no tax advice.
