Tracking progress (portal)

On the Progress page you track per class how far students are with the progress items, for example what they learn by heart (memorization). Each item has one of three states per student: Not started, In progress or Completed. It is the portal version of the progress screen in the mobile app, with an extra class overview. Teachers only see their own classes.

Where to find it

• Teacher: at the top of the sidebar, Progress.
• Administrator: Sidebar → Education → Progress.

Who can do this

• Teachers, for the classes they are linked to.
• Administrators with the permission Manage students (manage_students).
• The Student dossier module must be part of your organization's package. The AI coach only appears if the AI assistant is enabled for your organization.

Set up (administrator, in this order)

1. Go to Education → Educational Materials, tab Progress Categories, and create the categories.
2. For each category, choose under Visible to: "All classes" or "Selected classes only". Choose classes of the current school year; classes of another school year make the category visible to nobody.
3. In the Memorization Items tab, add the items, or import them with Excel Import.
4. Make sure the teacher is linked to the class and the students are in it (Teacher and Class Management).

Step by step: update per student

1. Choose the Class and the view Per student.
2. Choose the student and optionally a category, or search for an item.
3. Set the state per item: Not started, In progress or Completed.
4. Click Save Changes. Changes are stacked and saved at once.

Step by step: the class overview

1. Choose the view Class overview: a table of all students against all items.
2. Click a cell to change that student's state for that item.
3. Click Save Changes.

Step by step: your own item for this class

1. Click Add new item.
2. Choose the Category and enter the name (Dutch; English optional).
3. Click Add. The item applies to this class only and is listed with "(Custom)".

AI coach and statistics

For a selected student, the AI coach shows two tabs: Next suggestion (what the student can take on now) and Repeat plan (what is due for review). The plan is calculated from the recorded progress; the AI only provides the explanation. Use your own judgement. Progress Statistics show the completion rate per student and per category and the recent activity.

I can't see it / it doesn't work

• "No progress items". There are no items for this class: create them in Educational Materials or make the category visible for this class.
• "No classes". You are not linked to a class yet.
• No AI coach. The AI assistant is not enabled for your organization.
• I can't change a category's classes (teacher). Only an administrator can.
