An independent student is a student without a linked parent, for example an adult learner. The app looks the same as for other students; the difference is what you arrange yourself.
Where to find it
The same tabs as every student: Home, My work, Messages and Search.
Who can do this
Students the organisation has enrolled as independent. You do not set this yourself.
What you arrange yourself
- Absence: you report it yourself through My work → Calendar → lesson day → Report absence.
- Paying: you pay your own subscription through Search → Account → Payments. See the article on payments for students.
- Messages: teachers send their messages directly to you, under Messages → Questions.
- Details and re-enrolment: through My work → My Information.
I can't see it / it doesn't work
- I cannot report an absence. Your account is not marked as independent, or a parent is linked. Ask the organisation to check.
- I see no Payments. The organisation does not use payments through the app.
