The News tab shows your organization's announcements: new information, reminders, an announced event or an important message. Sometimes there's an image or attachment with it.
Where to find it
Open the app → News tab at the bottom (the bell icon). Or from Home → the announcements carousel at the bottom.
Step by step: reading a message
- Open the News tab.
- Tap a message to read it in full.
- Open any attachments or view the image.
- Pull the screen down to refresh and load the latest messages.
Tips
- Open the app regularly or turn on notifications so you don't miss anything.
- If you tap a notification about an announcement, the right message opens immediately.
Frequently asked questions
Can I reply to an announcement? News is informational — to ask something, use Questions (if enabled).
Why do I see a message a classmate doesn't? Announcements can be targeted at a particular group or audience.
Do I get a notification for a new message? Yes, if you've allowed notifications for the app.
Troubleshooting
- No news appears. Pull down to refresh; there may be no messages yet.
- An image or attachment won't load. Check your internet and reopen the message.
- I get no notifications. Allow notifications in your phone's settings for this app.
