If you cannot come to the lesson, it has to be reported. Who does that depends on whether a parent is linked to your account.

The My work tab → Calendar.
Who can do this
- Student with a linked parent: your parent or guardian reports your absence. In the calendar you then see the text "Your parent or guardian reports your absence. Can't make it? Let them know."
- Independent student (without a linked parent): you report it yourself.
Step by step: reporting your own absence (independent student)
- Open My work → Calendar and tap the lesson day.
- Choose Report absence.
- Choose a reason: Illness, Doctor appointment, Transportation issue, Weather conditions or Personal reason (with a short explanation).
- Confirm. Your teacher sees your report and the reason, and you receive a confirmation.
I can't see it / it doesn't work
- I only see the text that my parent reports it. A parent is linked to your account. Ask your parent to report it in the app.
- I am independent, but still see that text. Your account is not marked as an independent student at the organisation. Ask the organisation to change that.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change an absence my teacher recorded? No. An absence recorded by the teacher cannot be changed.
Where do I see how often I was absent? On Home under This week.
Do I get a confirmation when I report myself absent? Yes. You see it among your notifications in the app, as a push notification when Push Notifications is on, and by email when Email Notifications is on. It shows your name, the class, the date and the reason. If you change the reason for the same day, you get a new confirmation.
