In the News tab you stay up to date: this is where your organization's announcements and newsletters live. You can react to them, like them, take part in a poll and save posts as favourites.

Where to find it

Open the app → News tab at the bottom. At the top you switch between Announcements and Newsletters.

Reading a post — step by step

  1. Go to the News tab.
  2. At the top, choose Announcements or Newsletters.
  3. Tap a post to read it in full, including photos or attachments.

Search and favourites

  • Use the search box at the top to find a post by a word.
  • Tap the star icon to save a post as a favourite, so you can find it again quickly.

Reacting, liking and voting

If enabled, beneath a post you can:

  • Give a like.
  • Post a comment and reply to others' comments.
  • Take part in a poll if one is attached to the post.

Tips

  • Pull down to refresh and fetch the newest posts.
  • Got a notification about a new post? Tap it to jump straight there.
  • Save important announcements as favourites so you don't have to scroll.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I see different posts than another member? Some posts are aimed at specific groups. You see the posts meant for you.

What's the difference between an announcement and a newsletter? An announcement is a short message; a newsletter is a longer one. You find both under the two tabs at the top.

Can I delete a comment? You can usually remove your own comment via the options on that comment.

Troubleshooting

  • I don't see a News tab. Your organization hasn't enabled news/announcements. Ask them whether it will become available.
  • I can't comment or like. Your organization may have turned off reactions for this post, or for the whole organization.
  • An attachment won't open. Check your internet connection and try again; large files may take a moment to load.
