With the Aqlemy app you register yourself as a member of your organization (association, foundation, mosque or school) and then sign in. Registration takes a few short steps; after that you use the app on your phone for your membership card, payments, calendar and news.
Where to find it
Open the app. On the start screen, choose Become a member / Register to create an account, or Sign in as member if you already have one.
Registering yourself — step by step
- On the start screen, tap Become a member / Register.
- Pick your organization from the list at the top and confirm you want to join it. If your organization has parts or branches, also pick the right one.
- Enter your first name, last name, username and email. A phone number is optional. Tap Next.
- Choose a password that meets every requirement (at least 8 characters, an upper-case letter, a lower-case letter, a digit and a special character) and repeat it to confirm. The strength bar shows how strong it is. Tap Next.
- Optionally enter your date of birth and address. Enter your postal code and house number and the street and city are often filled in automatically (Netherlands only).
- Tick the privacy policy box and tap Register.
After a successful registration you are signed in immediately and land on your home screen.
Registering via an invite link or QR code
Did your organization send you an invite link or a QR code? Open it on your phone — the app opens the registration screen with your organization already selected. You don't need to search for it; just complete the remaining steps as above.
Signing in — step by step
- On the start screen, tap Sign in as member.
- Enter your username and password.
- Tap Sign in.
Signing in with face or fingerprint
If your phone supports Face ID or a fingerprint, the app asks after your first login whether to save it. If you agree, you can sign in with a single tap using the biometric button on the sign-in screen — no need to type your password every time.
Forgot your password
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password and follow the steps to set a new one.
Choosing a language
While registering, tap the globe at the top right to switch between Turkish, Dutch, English and Arabic.
Tips
- Choose a username and password you can remember easily — the app already remembers your last username for you.
- Turn on biometrics: it's faster and safer than typing your password each time.
- Enter your email correctly — you need it for reminders and for resetting your password.
Frequently asked questions
I can't find my organization in the list. Your organization may not use the app (yet), or the name is spelled differently. Search for part of the name, or ask your organization for an invite link.
Do I have to pay right away to become a member? No — registering is free. Whether and how much contribution you pay is arranged later via the Payments tab (see the article on contribution and payments).
I also have a parent account. Can these be combined? Yes. If you have multiple roles, you can switch between your member and parent account in the app without signing in again.
Troubleshooting
- My password is rejected during registration. It must meet every requirement: at least 8 characters, an upper-case letter, a lower-case letter, a digit and a special character, with no spaces or sequential digits (such as 123).
- I can't sign in. Check that you use the right username (not your email) and the correct password. If it still fails, use Forgot password.
- The biometric button doesn't appear. Your phone has no face/fingerprint set up, or you declined to save it. Set it up in your phone's settings and sign in once with your password.
- The invite link doesn't work. The link may have expired. Ask your organization for a new one, or simply register manually and pick your organization yourself.
