Some people have more than one role at an organisation, for example parent and member, or teacher and parent. If those accounts are linked, you switch roles in the app without logging out.
Where to find it
The Search tab → below the Account group → Switch Role. There is no switch button in the top bar any more.
Who can do this
Everyone with several linked accounts. Possible roles: parent, member, teacher and student. Your organisation does the linking.
Step by step: switching
- Tap Search and scroll to Switch Role.
- Choose the role or account you want to switch to.
- The app loads the tabs and data of that role. You are now signed in to the linked account of that role; your notifications, messages and payments belong to that account.
If you tap a push notification that belongs to another role, the app switches to that role by itself.
I can't see it / it doesn't work
- I don't see Switch Role. You have only one role, or your accounts are not linked. Ask your organisation to link them. Until then, log out and in with the other account.
- Switching fails. Check your internet connection and try again. If it still fails, log out and in.
Frequently asked questions
Can I switch to a student account? Yes, if that account is linked to yours.
Do I need a separate password for each role? Not for switching. If you want to sign in to the other account on its own, you use that account's details.
