Some people have multiple roles in the same organization — for example a parent of a student who is also a member. The app knows this and lets you switch roles with one tap, without signing in again. Each role has its own tabs and features.
Where to find it
Open the app → tap the role switcher (in the top bar) or open it via your menu. The role switcher only appears when your account has more than one role.
Switching between roles
- Tap the role switcher. A short list of your available roles appears.
- Pick the role you want to go to (for example from Parent to Member).
- The app switches: the bottom tabs and the content adapt to your new role.
Automatic switching on a notification
If you tap a push notification meant for another role (for example a member-role notification while you're active as a parent), the app switches to the right role automatically where possible and opens the matching screen.
Tips
- Missing a feature? It might belong to your other role — switch roles for a moment.
- You stay signed in with the same account; switching is not signing out.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get multiple roles? They arise when your organization links your account to several roles (for example parent and member). You can't enable this yourself — your organization arranges it.
Does my language or theme switch too? No, language and theme stay the same for all your roles.
Does this apply to the student role too? The quick role switcher works for member-related roles (such as parent and member). A student account is a separate login.
Troubleshooting
- I don't see the role switcher. Then your account has just one role. That's normal — most users have one role.
- After switching I see an error or an empty screen. Refresh the screen or try switching again; the app fetches fresh data after a switch.
- I'm missing a role I should have. Ask your organization to link your account to the right role.
