Privacy and deleting your account

Manage your consents and delete your account — with a 30-day recovery period.

Updated: June 25, 2026

You're in control of your data in the app: you can adjust your consents (privacy preferences) and, if you want to stop, delete your account. Deletion always comes with a 30-day recovery period, so a mistake isn't a disaster.

Where to find it

Open the app → Profile. There you'll find the Consents/Privacy and Delete account sections.

Managing your consents

  1. In your profile, open the Consents (privacy) section.
  2. Toggle on or off the data your organization may use (for example showing your name).
  3. The change is saved immediately.

Deleting your account — how it works

How deletion goes depends on your role:

  • Members can delete their account directly themselves. The account is then scheduled for deletion (not gone right away).
  • Parents, students and teachers send a deletion request that an administrator approves first.

In both cases a 30-day recovery period follows: your account is only permanently deleted after that period. Within the window you can undo it.

Direct deletion (member)

  1. In your profile, open Delete account.
  2. Read the warning and tap Delete my account.
  3. Confirm. Your account is now scheduled for deletion, with the final date shown.

Submitting a request (parent/student/teacher)

  1. In your profile, open Delete account.
  2. Tap Send deletion request.
  3. An administrator reviews your request. While it's pending, you can withdraw it.

Changed your mind? Cancel within 30 days

If your account is scheduled for deletion, you'll see a Cancel deletion button under Delete account. Tap it within the 30 days to restore everything — your account and data come back fully.

Tips

  • Unsure? Just sign out instead of deleting — signing out changes nothing about your data.
  • Only want fewer notifications? Adjust your notification preferences instead of deleting your account.

Frequently asked questions

Is my account gone immediately after deleting? No. It's scheduled and only permanently deleted after 30 days. Until then you can restore it.

What happens to payments/financial data? Certain financial or legally required data may be kept by your organization even after deletion — the law requires this.

Why does my deletion need approval? For parents, students and teachers it goes through the administrator, because their account is tied to an organization and to other accounts (such as children).

Troubleshooting

  • I don't see a delete button. The option differs by role. Members see a direct button; other roles see a request button. Are you signed in with the right account?
  • My request has been "pending" for a while. An administrator must approve it. Contact your organization if it takes long.
  • I want to undo my deletion but the button is gone. The recovery period (30 days) may have passed. Contact your organization.
