The app sends notifications about, for example, homework, messages, payments and security. You choose whether you get them as push notifications and by email, and which language and appearance the app uses.
Where to find it
- The list of notifications: the bell at the top, or Search → Account → Notifications.
- Which notifications you get: your profile (profile photo at the top, or Search → Account → My profile) → section Notifications.
- Language and appearance: Search → Account → App settings.
Who can do this
Everyone with an account. Members can also choose the language in their profile.
Step by step: notifications on or off
- Open your profile and expand Notifications.
- Turn Push Notifications and/or Email Notifications on or off.
- If push notifications do not arrive, also check in your phone's settings that Aqlemy may send notifications. App settings → Device permissions takes you there directly.
Step by step: using the notification list
- Tap the bell. At the top you filter on All, Unread or a category.
- Tap Mark All as Read to mark everything as read. In the three-dot menu you choose Clear All (with confirmation).
- Swipe a notification to the left to delete it or set it back to unread.
- Tap a notification to see the details. The Go to … button takes you to the screen it is about; with Previous/Next you browse your notifications.
- You can confirm or decline an invitation to a parent-teacher meeting straight from the notification.
Step by step: language and appearance
- Go to Search → Account → App settings.
- Under Language choose Türkçe, Nederlands, English or العربية. The app first asks whether you want to change the language; confirm. Arabic is shown right to left.
- Under Appearance choose Light or Dark. Your profile also has the Dark Mode switch.
I can't see it / it doesn't work
- "Notifications" in App settings opens a list instead of settings. Correct: that opens the list. Turning them on and off is done in your profile → Notifications.
- A notification about a security event (new device, failed sign-in attempts, changed password) takes you to your profile → Sign-ins and devices.
Frequently asked questions
Can I choose per type of notification? No. You turn push and email on or off as a whole. In the list you can filter by category.
Does "Clear All" also remove messages? No, only the notifications in the list. Your conversations under Messages stay.
