Building the public website

Set up your public organization page: pick a template, toggle sections on/off and drag them into order, fill the hero — with a live preview and autosave.

Updated: June 25, 2026

The website builder lets you assemble your public organization page — the page visitors see at /org/<slug>. You pick a template, switch sections (widgets) on or off, drag them into order and fill in the texts. On the right is a live preview that shows exactly how the real site looks.

This page requires the Manage public site permission (manage_public_site).

Where to find it

Sidebar → Organization management → Public website.

Left side: the configuration

  • Template — pick a style: Classic, Split, Bold or Clay.
  • Content language — fill in texts per language (TR, NL, EN, AR). Turkish is the base; empty languages fall back to it.
  • Sections — a draggable list of widgets: Hero, Register, Become a member, Events, Announcements, Holidays, Map & info, Ask a question and Footer.

Step by step: setting up your page

  1. Pick a template at the top.
  2. Select the content language and fill in your texts per language.
  3. Switch sections on or off with the toggle.
  4. Drag sections by the handle to set the order.
  5. Click a section's arrow to expand it and edit the details (title, intro, number of items, layout).
  6. For the Hero: fill in the headline and subheadline, upload a background image and set the call-to-action buttons.

Preview

On the right is a live preview. You can switch between desktop and mobile, and between languages. View live opens the real page in a new tab.

Saving

Changes are saved automatically (shortly after each edit). At the top you see the status: unsaved changes, saving, saved or failed. To save immediately, click Save now. You can undo actions with Undo/Redo (or Ctrl/⌘+Z).

Tips

  • Start with the Hero: a strong headline and background image set the first impression.
  • Only enable sections that have content — an empty events section looks unfinished.
  • Check the mobile preview; most visitors arrive on their phone.

Frequently asked questions

Some sections don't work — why? A few sections depend on a module. "Become a member" only works if self-service member registration is on, and "Ask a question" only if the communication module is on.

Do I have to press a separate save button? No, the builder autosaves. Save now is only for when you don't want to wait.

Which colours does the site use? Those from your branding in the organization settings — change your colours there, not here.

Troubleshooting

  • Why don't I see this page? The website builder requires the Manage public site permission (manage_public_site). Ask a lead admin if you're missing it.
  • My change disappeared. Check the save status at the top; if it says "failed", retry Save now (often a temporary network issue).
  • The image won't upload. Use an image file of a reasonable size; very large files may be rejected.
