Parts let you split your organization into logical units: departments, locations, committees or working groups. Parts can be nested under one another and can have board members. You later use them to target announcements, newsletters and events at a single part.
This page requires the Manage organization permission (manage_organization).
Where to find it
Sidebar → Organization management → Organization parts.
Two views
- Tree view — shows the parent/child structure.
- Grid view — separate cards side by side.
Step by step: creating a part
- Click New part.
- Enter the name and description — multilingual (TR required; NL/EN/AR optional). A green dot on a language tab means that translation is filled in.
- Pick a colour from the colour picker of predefined colours.
- Optionally set a parent part to nest this one underneath.
- Add board members if needed (see below).
- Confirm to save.
Adding board members
- Click Add board member — a search dialog opens.
- Type at least 2 characters to search.
- Tick one or more people and confirm. Assign a role (chair, vice-chair, secretary, treasurer).
Buttons you'll use
- New part — opens the create form.
- Edit (pencil) — adjust a part.
- Delete (trash) — with confirmation.
- Apply — confirm a colour change.
Tips
- Keep the structure shallow: one or two levels is usually enough and stays readable.
- Give each part its own colour so it's easy to recognise in lists and charts.
Frequently asked questions
What do I use parts for? To structure your organization and to communicate precisely — pick a part as the audience for a newsletter or announcement.
Is a translation required? Only the Turkish name is required; other languages are optional and fall back to the base language.
Troubleshooting
- Why don't I see this page? Parts require the Manage organization permission (
manage_organization). If it's missing, ask a lead admin. - I can't find a board member. Type at least 2 characters; the person must already have a user account in your organization.
- I can't delete a part. Check whether it still has child parts attached; detach those first.
