The organization settings are the heart of your portal. On a single page you set how your organization is named and styled, which languages it supports, which modules are on, and how email and contact are handled. Crucially, this is also where you switch menu items on or off. Is someone missing a page in the sidebar? Nine times out of ten the answer lives here.
This page is only for administrators with the Manage settings permission (manage_settings). Without it, the portal sends you back to the dashboard.
Where to find it
Sidebar → General → Organizations → open your organization → Edit. Everything on this page is saved at once with the Save button at the bottom.
What you can set
- Basics — name (per language), description, address, contact person and website URL, plus the active toggle.
- Branding — primary and secondary colour (colour pickers) and your logo. These colours theme the whole portal.
- Languages — tick which languages your organization supports (TR, NL, EN; AR where applicable).
- Academic year — start and end date, current year and time zone (relevant to the education modules).
- Subscription — which plan is active and the trial status (usually managed by your lead or super admin).
- Modules (features) — the on/off toggles that decide which menu items appear.
- SSO — single sign-on via Azure AD on/off, with tenant ID and allowed domains.
- Email settings — sender, SMTP/IMAP or OAuth, so emails go out on behalf of your organization.
Step by step: turning a module on or off
- Open Organizations → your organization → Edit.
- Scroll to the Modules / features block.
- Switch the toggle for the module you want on (for example events, payments or widget screens).
- Click Save at the bottom.
- Reload the portal — the related menu item now appears in the sidebar.
Adjusting branding
- Pick a primary colour (main colour) and a secondary colour using the colour pickers.
- Upload a logo (square, with a transparent background, looks best).
- Click Save; the portal and your public website pick up the colours automatically.
Testing email and SSO
Next to the save button are test actions: Test email settings sends a test message, and Validate SSO settings checks your sign-on configuration. Use them before going live.
Tips
- Only enable the modules you actually use — a shorter menu keeps the portal tidy.
- Fill in the name in every supported language; empty languages fall back to the base language.
- Test email settings right after filling them in, so confirmation and invoice emails arrive reliably.
Frequently asked questions
I enabled a module but don't see the menu. Save, then reload the page. The menu item only appears after a fresh page load.
Do branding colours also change the mobile app? The colours and logo apply to the admin portal and the public website; the mobile app uses the same branding where applicable.
Can I accidentally wipe the name or plan? Nothing is final until you click Save. Leave the page without saving and everything stays as it was.
Troubleshooting
- Why can't I open this page? Organization settings require the Manage settings permission (
manage_settings). Without it you're redirected to the dashboard — ask a lead admin for the permission or to make the change. - A colleague is missing a whole section in the sidebar. That module is off here. Switch its toggle on and save.
- The test email doesn't arrive. Check the SMTP/OAuth details and the sender domains; ask your IT contact if needed.
