The federated dashboard is the starting point for an umbrella admin. An umbrella is an overarching organization with one or more affiliated organizations (child organizations) beneath it. This dashboard shows at a glance how all of those organizations are doing together: combined key figures and a table with one row per organization. You access it with the umbrella admin role and the koepel_view_all permission.
Where to find it
As an umbrella admin you see a dedicated Umbrella section in the sidebar. Go to Umbrella → Federated dashboard. You land here automatically after signing in.
What you see
- Key-figure tiles (top, 12 of them) — the combined totals across all affiliated organizations: number of organizations, members, students, parents, teachers, local admins, board members, groups, upcoming events, active announcements, outstanding payment requests and revenue over the last 30 days.
- "Per organization" table — one row per affiliated organization. By default the columns show members, students, admins and revenue (30 days). Click Show more columns to also see parents, teachers, board, groups, events, announcements and outstanding payment requests.
- View — click a row (or View) to drill into a single organization.
- Broadcast — the button at the top right takes you straight to federated announcements.
An organization you have deactivated shows an (inactive) marker after its name.
Tips
- On mobile the table appears as a list of cards; tap a card to drill in.
- All figures are fetched live. If you see stale data, refresh the page.
What can and can't I do?
The umbrella view is deliberately read-only and has a few hard limits:
- You can: view all combined and per-organization figures, drill into an organization and open masked detail lists.
- You cannot: change operational data of an affiliated organization (members, payments, lessons, local announcements). That remains the work of the local admin.
- You cannot: see full personal data. Email addresses, phone numbers and exact addresses are masked — you only see, for example, "First name X." and at most the city.
- You cannot: delete an organization. Only a super admin can do that.
Frequently asked questions
Why don't I see email addresses or phone numbers? Privacy. As an umbrella you may broadcast and oversee, but not view the full personal data of members of another organization.
An organization shows 0 — is that right? It may have no data yet, or the relevant module is off there. Drill in to see what is present.
Troubleshooting
- I see "Access denied". This page is only for umbrella admins. If you are a regular admin, this is not part of your role.
- A newly created organization doesn't appear. Refresh the page; the list is fetched live per session.
- The page won't load. You may be signed out — sign in again via the admin portal.
