Newsletter templates store reusable styling for your newsletters, so you don't rebuild recurring mailings (for example a monthly update) every time. When composing a newsletter, you pick the template you want to use.
Where to find it
Sidebar → Communication → Newsletter templates. You see a grid of template cards with name, description, category and how often each template has been used.
Step by step: creating a template
- Click New template at the top right.
- Fill in the name and (optionally) a description. Use the language tabs — Turkish (TR) is required; NL, EN and AR are optional.
- Fill in the HTML content with the editor. You can use variables that get filled in automatically, such as
{{ organization.name }}and{{ recipient.name }}. - Choose a category: general, event, announcement, educational, administrative or seasonal.
- Set the style: primary and secondary colour, font and font size.
- Click Save.
Managing templates
- Edit — adjust the name, content or style.
- Delete (trash) — with confirmation. Global templates (from the platform) can't be deleted; they're marked with a Global label.
- Search box — searches by name and description.
Tips
- Give templates a recognisable name (e.g. "Monthly update") so you find them quickly later in the newsletter editor.
- Keep the colours in line with your brand — it makes your emails recognisable.
- Use the variables to address each recipient personally.
Frequently asked questions
What are global templates? Ready-made templates prepared by the platform. You can use and edit them from your newsletter, but not delete them.
Does a template change existing newsletters? No. A template is a starting point for the styling; already-sent newsletters stay unchanged.
Troubleshooting
- I don't see the Templates menu. Templates belong to the announcements feature. If that's off, the menu doesn't appear — a lead administrator enables the "announcements" feature. If you can't open the page, you're missing the "manage announcements" permission.
- I can't delete a template. Global templates can't be deleted — only your own organization templates.
- I can't save. Name and HTML content are required (on the Turkish tab).
