Aqlemy is a platform that lets an organization — an association, foundation, school, educational centre, mosque or umbrella organization — manage its membership, education, communication, planning and finances in one place.
Three parts
The platform has three parts that share the same data:
- The admin portal (where you are now) — the web environment for administrators and teachers. Administrators and teachers sign in here with their username.
- The mobile app — for members, parents, students and teachers: announcements, payments, the digital membership card and more.
- The public website — your organization’s public page (optionally on your own domain) and this documentation centre.
Every organization has its own, isolated environment. One organization’s data is never visible to another. Sensitive fields (such as email address and phone number) are stored encrypted.
Roles determine what you see
- Admin — manages their own organization. What an admin sees depends on their permissions (see the article ‘Administrators & permissions’).
- Teacher — has a fixed menu: Dashboard, Student dossier, Attendance, Homework, Progress and Notifications, only for their own classes. Teachers have no permissions to tick.
- Umbrella admin — manages member organizations at umbrella level.
- Member, parent, student — use the mobile app, not the admin portal.
Plans and modules
Which modules (menus) your organization has follows from its plan. An admin does not switch modules on or off: the Features tab in the settings is read-only for admins. Dashboard, Users, Data Management, Support and Platform Releases are in every plan.

Some modules are separate from the plans and only Aqlemy can switch them on: Live Fundraising, Advertising, Laposta email marketing sync, Social media cross-posting, Self-service member registration, AI Assistant for teachers, and the app features Qibla Compass, Prayer Times, ANBI Calculator, Live Stream and Elifba Book. Ask via Sidebar → Support → Support requests.
Step by step: change your plan
- Go to Sidebar → Settings → Settings. You land on the General tab.
- On the Subscription card, click Change plan.
- Choose the new plan (Upgrade or Downgrade). An upgrade takes effect immediately; a downgrade takes effect at the next billing period.
This needs the permission Manage billing (manage_billing). If you do not see the card, contact Aqlemy.
I can’t see it / it doesn’t work
The portal shows a menu item only when the module is in your plan and you have the matching permission. Missing something? Check the table above to see whether the module is in your plan. If it is, ask an admin with Manage admins to give you the permission. If it is not, change the plan or ask Aqlemy.
Frequently asked questions
Can I switch a module on myself in Settings? No. The Features tab only shows which modules are on. You change them through the plan, or Aqlemy switches them on.
Can a teacher get extra menus? No. A teacher’s menu is fixed. Anyone who needs more needs an admin account.
